On August 13th, I had the pleasure of photographing the first annual DrumPhil Workshop, a one-day program for promising high school students to study with some of the finest drummers in the area.
Morning Warm-Up came with the reminder “Mean what you play.” Then students moved onto private lessons, group clinics, and ensemble sessions. It was fun moving from room to room to take pictures, each with its own groove happening.
It was a truly inspiring day filled with bits of wisdom, lots of rhythm, and a bunch of seriously cool, creative individuals. Thanks for having me, DrumPhil!
